about the job

This is a hands-on development role. 

As a go-getter, you want to leverage your AEM technical expert knowledge to support with building a practice from playbook creation through successful customer delivery. You will be accountable for the comprehensive architecture and implementation of AEM solutions, starting with Assets and growing into Sites. Your expertise will guide teams through complex projects and ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and innovative AEM platforms that exceed client expectations. Working closely with our VP of Service Delivery and VP of Sales, you’ll be a key contributor to the co-creation of our AEM Assets offering. This includes the initial build and iterations of our delivery playbooks, influencing and aligning with pre-sales activity, project scoping and estimation methodologies, education and empowerment of our existing team, sourcing, development, and oversight of additional technical delivery personnel as needed, (contracted and/or staffed) and delivery excellence to a defined outcome that sees our customers impressed and empowered. 

Role Responsibilities: 

Leadership: 

  • Support WNDYR to build and document the ideal high-performance collaborative team by defining and iterating an effective and scalable offering
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to new hires through onboarding to ongoing support on complex implementation issues
  • Lead the team in identifying, capturing, and distributing knowledge and standard methodologies with clients, partners, and colleagues via direct interaction and Adobe communities
  • Work closely with the sales organization to contribute to pre-sales collateral supporting our offering, scoping, and engineering results-driven solutions and product demos where appropriate
  • Building (in partnership with the People Team) a scalable network of trusted external resources to leverage for staff augmentation (Contract, freelance, and/or agency partner. On, near and/or offshore.) 

Developer: 

  • Define implementation plan and identify delivery time estimates for the assigned activities for bespoke/ upgrade/ support and maintenance project requirements
  • Define solution architecture and design for all the elements of the implementation 
  • Implement complex components/services/integrations in AEM
  • Track and report work progress to Leadership (and/or Scrum Master / Product Owner) & the client on a periodic basis
  • Lead and/or contribute to design discussions & client meetings
  • Follow & Contribute to the organizational best practices/policies
  • Design & execute test plans and perform gap analysis to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested and fulfilled
  • Apply industry standard Design Patterns for web application development
  • Contribute to the AEM Centre of Excellence
  • Provide RCA of complex issues and come up with a quick resolution
  • Mentor development team during technical implementation and help them in addressing complex issues.
  • Employ strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse.
  • Environment setup for development
  • Install and configure Adobe Experience Manager for on-premises solutions or cloud-based solutions (AWS) (Optional).
  • Maintain up-to-date information on Adobe digital marketing products and determine the use case where those products can be best leveraged.
  • Effectively analyze complex project issues, identify gaps, and the possible solution options
  • Contribute to the presentation and review of the options and our recommended solution with the client
  • Design and manage the ingestion process of digital assets into AEM, ensuring proper tagging and efficient organization.
  • Collaborate on definition and configuration of Metadata & Taxonomy in AEM to meet our customer’s objectives, while ensuring optimal utility and scalability
  • Set up and manage asset transcoding to accommodate various formats and resolutions for different devices and screen sizes.
  • Create and configure workflow automation for asset approval, publishing, and archiving to streamline asset management processes.
  • Optimize the performance of AEM Assets to ensure fast and efficient asset retrieval and delivery.
  • Implement security measures to protect digital assets and control access.
  • Configure AEM to deliver assets to web pages and digital channels, ensuring they are displayed correctly and efficiently.
  • Manage asset versioning and history to track changes and enable rollbacks when necessary.
  • Promote successful asset & system governance

what you need

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field
  • Adobe Certified Developer in AEM
  • Proven 7 years of relevant development experience with a minimum of 5 years AEM exposure:
    • Gathering and analyzing business needs and translating into actionable technical requirements.
    • Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.
    • AEM Assets technical direction or leadership, with in-depth knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager, architecture native capabilities and customization potential. 
  • Understanding or experience in using productized APIs, SaaS, SOA, Cloud Services, and Content Management Systems
  • Experience with developing requirements for metadata taxonomy, interfaces, integrations, and production data migrations
  • Possess a high degree of competency in Core Java 1.6 / 1.7 / 1.8
  • Have strong programming experience in AEM 6.3/6.4/6.5, Sightly, and custom component development
  • Have experience in integration with other 3rd party tools such as Salesforce, Hybris, payment gateways, etc.
  • Well-versed with HTML 5, JavaScript, JQuery and Ajax 5. have worked in Projects using Agile Scrum methodology
  • Experience in leading teams of both staffed and sourced technical resources (onshore, near-shore, and offshore)
  • Know how of AEM Dispatcher Setup / Configuration, SEO Best Practices, Other Adobe products such as Workfront, Analytics, Target Marketo, and/or Campaign would be an added value.

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
